If you want to build a website in Clojure, I highly recommend checking out http://luminusweb.net - the documentation is amazing, and it incorporates nearly all of the best practices I have seen. Making an API in Clojure using Sw

I will give you a perspective of someone who has used Linux on my main desktop since 1997, but I do keep up to date with other platforms: VS + C# + Azure integration is excellent, and there is nothing which prohibits turning up a 2nd instan

I share the same concerns - due to the small form factor of these laptops, it isn't a standard, commodity you can find easily. Especially in the Pixel's case where it is a limited production run to begin with.

This is a really fun competition and it really highlights how friendly and light hearted the community can be, while showcasing how easy it is to be productive in clojure. Can't wait for next year!

It looks like having a github account is how you get started, then you fork the repo and run tests after each exercise. Pretty neat

I have to admit I have not been a huge fan of some of the design choices in the past or the way Gnome responded to the community. With that said, the new releases work very well for me and it really does work well for my day to day use. C

I set up MaaS in a couple of hours at home. I bought a couple of used Dell C6105's off ebay for a great deal, and they work out of the box with MaaS. Pretty nice to be able to remotely boot and image the servers, power them off and o

This is a topic that I would love to see brought up more, and I think there is a lot Linux can learn from Solaris. As someone who was only exposed to Solaris in the last 4 years (using Linux since '96), I have become increasingly inte

I love to see that Google is on their top donors page every year, it shows their commitment to supporting open source and the tools they have used to build their business on. http://www.openbsdfoundation.org/contributors.htm

I would love to see a few more people contribute to open source. I read article after article about people who want to make a switch from their Apple or Microsoft Desktop, but then say open source / floss desktops are not ready or not

The websites look fantastic, I am going to give this a shot today. I have been looking at Luminus as a Clojure framework, however Caribou looks pretty nice. Great time to be interested in creating websites with Clojure!

I am doing the same, once the OS gets released and I can buy controllers I will be hooking it up as the main system. The thing steam gets right is that everyone in the house who uses games has a great experience, from 10 - 35 years old it

It looks like Gnome has come a long way since the early 3.x releases. I especially like the menu bar being used fully, not having that space wasted is a small detail that has a big impact. I will definitely be giving this a try.

I have gone back and forth on a bunch of different setups, and the T430S with Linux is a great combination. The keyboard / trackpoint are awesome and they are very fast, durable machines that work out of the box with Linux.
