An important factor for choosing hybrid is that it must have the same benefits as an EV. In Denmark there has been a trial in Copenhagen, where fossil fueled cars AND hybrids were not allowed on a particular road, only EVs were allowed.

The proper knee-jerk reaction would be to ban this kind of work, but that would also mean disallowing content sharing on Facebook. That is why this type of work will not go away. And AI is just not good enough to do this, I fully agree.

The downside to ebikes, especially the cargo bike variant, is their high speed combined with their large size. But I don't see how that can be changed, having them ride on the street along with cars is not a good solution.

Quite right, it is infeasible to close roads for self driving cars only. Which begs the question: How are self driving cars ever going to be mainstream?

The future for self driving cars are closed roads where only driverless cars are allowed. The ethical issues when a driverless car kills someone cannot be solved in a reasonable way. The question is which city/country will be the first

He sounds like a Downer with those statements. I guess it is to be expected from a person whose power is threatened by people like Assange. At least the PM seems like a more sensible person.

Absolutely, the startup speed of npp is addictive. If only VS Code could be half as fast.

Diablo 2 is very hard compared to Diablo III, which I find is a major selling point. I think the waste in D4 is that there is very little replay value, only the long grind or Seasons. But starting over and over has very little appeal, so th

Yes, great news indeed. In the great scheme of things, 40 F-16s, 79 modernization kits for existing F-16 and four Gripen is a small price to pay.

The great thing about any community is that you have free speech, but don't be surprised if your opinion is challenged. I enjoy both HN and other community sites, both are great ways to communicate. I don't get this us vs them men

Indeed, the Tesla model Y is also below 2000kg. I also think the weight for EV cars should be lowered, considering the better acceleration that EVs have. Perhaps that will come later.

You are absolutely correct, it was the Model S that I mistook for the Model Y from the source https://insideevs.com/news/527966/electric-cars-from-heavies... I wonder what made the Parisians choose 2 tonnes, lower

I'd hardly call a 2 tonnes EV a tiny car, which is the limit in the proposal. The Tesla model 3 is right on that limit with 1.980 Kg, whereas the model Y weighs 2.4 tonnes. In Denmark the model Y is by far the most sold car in 2023, wi

Same here. Using the correct lowercase word "teams" would enable everyone to focus on the product. Anything else is just wasting time.

For personal use and small businesses your example is a good look at what CoPilot can do. For larger enterprises it is unlikely that this amount of data will be allowed to be sent for CoPilot processing. The overarching question is: Do you

Using the word includes does a disservice to skeptics and COVID discussions. It would be far healthier for discussions to separate skeptics and obviously crazy or idiotic. Those are two very different groups.
