Must be a very rare browser, it works very well on Brave (mobile). Also, it is always more helpful to state the actual issue.

If you're talking about multiple iterations of the term "anti-vaxxers", then I'd argue that the term itself is no longer useful. Nowadays it is used to create an us or them division. Which in turn removes any nuances.

Seems like there is only one loose end left: will he or will he not avoid the 1B penalty for backing out. How that goes is anyone's guess.

Not allowing the N-word at all would be the best option. Never really understood how the word can be positive at all, but it seems it can be.

It is not a worthy thing to do for the US, people should have to adapt to higher prices as a cost of supporting Ukraine. As for the Arab spring, that never had a chance of working. Not even Turkey can deal with democracy and Islam.

Might try it, though the whole debugging experience in PowerShell in VS Code is quite good.

I originally read it as a different editor entirely than VS Code. The slight startup delay for VS Code vs. for example Notepad++ is quite annoying. I wish there was software as cool as VS Code, but with ultra low startup time.

Good advice, taking work home is not sustainable on a daily basis nor is working weekends. If you're continuously put in those situations, then it's time to consider your options. Actually, it's always a good idea to have a b

It's sometimes the only way you get to communicate with all of the team during the week. So it's more of a social ritual than anything else and those are important too. One way to avoid burnout is to achieve progress in the form o

I certainly expect him to pay the 1 billion dollars required for backing out, but of course he will try to avoid that. The real reason is that he can't afford to buy Twitter at the negotiated price, which is entirely on Musk.

Yeah it's silly. It's safe to skip the article as it doesn't bring anything special to the table. All it is saying is that the recent wave of layoffs in the US, could make workers return to the office to secure a job.

When a patent can take up to four years to be granted, and two years in most cases, then the current model is not sufficient. Instead it ought to be a number of years from the day the patent is granted. For software that should be around 5

On top of that the patent requires the Jpeg2000 compression algorithm to be useful. If the choice is between the current state of affairs and no software patents, then no software patents is the way to go.

I have more faith in empowered teams at least for companies where software is not the main focus. For software companies, it makes sense to do more DevOps, how much depends on the company. Scrum and all the events/meetings that go with

Bad mood i hope. Should Broadcom do all those things, they run a substantial risk of degrading the products offered by VMware, which is a poor business decision. Given the very profitable state of VMware, it's a lot more likely that th

With COVID becoming just another disease and the uncertainty from the war in Ukraine, it will only be worse from now on for consumer spending. A lasting peace for Ukraine needs to happen before that will change. And with Ukraine not willing

Many users will probably switch in June 2023, as Chrome will no longer run Manifest v2 by that time. That will be the true test of Googles changes, if they don't come up with something else before then. https://developer.chr

Much like airport taxes around the world are also different and can change at any time. It is an interesting challenge though, to create software that is easy to maintain while capturing all these complexities.

Seems like booster shots fall in the category of "To be on the safe side", which turns out not to be very effective. Only reason I got the booster shot was the hassle of not getting it, e.g. having to do test 2-3 times/week.

An overlooked benefit of exercising, is that if you are eating unhealthy or eating too much, then you will instantly know it when exercising. Running is quite good for this, it will tell you how things are going, far better than any scale.
