But if it pays more to be corrupt then status quo will remain. It seems that at least 8 of 22 senators could be on the wrong side according to the votes for the Cocaine Legalization Bill: https://transformdrugs.org/blog/

No budgies it seems, although they're not usually seen in the wild which might be the theme here. To me it would be cool to be able to decode bird noises to their meaning. Am really curious as to what birds are chirping about.

Not recently, did watch this one though https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Made_(film) So many movies would not exist if drugs were made legal.

The interesting discussion to me is why governments are not doing more to decriminalize or legalize drugs. That seems to be the only way out of this mess.

Yes the corruption makes it difficult to do much, but the War on Drugs has been going on for more than 50 years. It's quite obvious that another 50 years will not do any difference, but the proposed bill just might. https://

Good reminder that the vaccine does not work right away. As for vaccine resistant strains, the status is that vaccines are still effective in dealing with known variants. Here is a study for the Lambda variant and the efficacy of the vaccin

The EU and perhaps NL in particular should really take another look at legalizing at least hash. It would help to also legalize cocaine, but even Colombia that would benefit most from it, is still not ready to do something to break the stat

Ioniq 5 is good proof that charging continues to improve, it charges about 22 km/minute, provided there is access to a 350 kW DC facility. If there is only 100 kW DC available, charging will be slower than the Enyaq. Range is a bit sma

Even newer EVs can only charge to 80% range in 30 minutes, while a stop at the gas tank takes about 5 minutes to refuel to 100% range.

It will be interesting to see the terms and pricing for this. Charging speed is still not great, the new Skoda Enyaq iV can charge to 80% capacity in 34 minutes. That translates to 12,6 km/minute for the first 80%. A 10 year old diesel

Number 1 is still the major issue, electric cars make sense for those who own a house or has access to an underground car park with charging. If you don't get a Tesla then the infrastructure is still not great. And roaming negotiations

I am not at all surprised by the popularity of Orbán. An important part is the strong resistance to migrants, which would mean a great influx of mainly Arabs with an incompatible culture and religion compared to Europe. Look to Sweden to se

On the Brave browser for Android it also downloads the PDF file and stores it locally. Websites should use HTML and not PDF in my opinion. On top of that the end result is not very readable on mobile, the font is too small.

For relational databases in the enterprise with large amounts of data, batched inserts work great. For large deletes it is often better to move the rows that won't be deleted to a new table and rename the table when done. With large up

It's a good insight to know what the hardware is capable of. The SSD in the authors machine can do 1300MB/s and the latest M1 model can do 2100MB/s. For current gen SSDs with PCIe 4.0, that number increases to 6600MB/s f

Useless to the general public, but a great way to collect fees from those infringing. I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment that you need to actively use the patent in a product or forfeit all protection.
