Setting up two likely scenarios is a very reasonable way of approaching future development, both scenarios sound likely to me. We could look at the flu for clues, in that case every year will have one or more variants that are the most prom

This BBC story speculates that Delta became the main variant in part due to the cold weather. But I'm not sure any one factor can be singled out. https://www.bbc.com/news/health-57489740

I have lost count of statements from epidemiologists who have grossly overestimated infection rates. Predicting the future is hard and if you're obviously not good at it, you should stop doing it. The bit about vaccinated being eight t

We might have been able to do pull requests in Mercurial, but were using a special tool to manage multiple Mercurial repos. Trunk-based development is where you use a single branch for development, instead of multiple branches that you have

Class action lawsuits rarely benefit the users financially. On the other hand the lawyers get a nice $21m payout. You can read the original complaint here: https://www.classlawgroup.com/zoom-class-action-lawsuit/

Well, if all companies apply the same rule then you are not really free to choose are you ? I don't take offense with the vaccine, it has helped to turn things around, it's the mandate that i have a problem with. And again, tattoo

As someone about to migrate from Mercurial to Git i absolutely agree that Git is the superior tool. Pull Requests were never going to happen with Mercurial and it's also not possible to delete a branch without some black magic server-s

A vaccine mandate should not be mandated by corporations, instead it should happen on a country level if necessary. To me it's a slippery slope to allow corporations to mandate what happens to our own body.

Besides this war between companies and tech companies, I'm glad that I live in a part of the world where vaccine mandates are not happening.

What is it about Covid-19 that make people want to decide what others should do (vaccine mandate). The MMR vaccine was made nearly 60 years ago and it took another five years to improve it. On the other side you have the fastest vaccine eve

This one is different. In my country in 2018, deaths caused by the flu was more than 50% of all registered Corona deaths. Just that season alone. Now some wants to mandate Corona vaccines, but then what about flu vaccines ?

When it's sincere i really don't care about the mind games of giving a compliment. But then the threshold for giving a compliment is probably too high, in the workplace it's reserved for those truly doing a difference.

There is absolutely no way that we can implement the above, WITHOUT losing a lot of what makes us humans in the process. I'd rather keep our pre-Covid level of human interaction than limiting it forever. But to each their own, one thin
