Memorization sure looks incredibly important to, say, mathematics, a topic in which practitioners often push back against memorization-based learning yet certainly appears to be pretty damn memorization-heavy. I know they're not derivi

Some stores in the US have that, some don’t, and it’s always a lot smaller than the total price when they do.

Coffee is sometimes that way. For more expensive beans brands’ll cut the weight and keep the price the same, shelve it right next to the other stuff. You have to check the weight to see which ones are expensive. [edit] and of course 12oz ha

I used it as recently as a couple years ago to make short work of some build + deployment stuff on some slightly unusual platform. Might've been Garmin wearables? Something like that. When you need "expect", it's wonderf

This looks more like an SUV alternative than a truck alternative, for either the legitimately eco-conscious (but not eco-conscious enough to buy used) or those looking for certain social signaling.

Ditto "man" and "he" being used when the sex of the person in question isn't known, or as a poetic stand-in for "human"—the usual complaint about that is that it implies maleness is "normal" at t

Launch-programs-by-search becoming common is the only significant advance I can think of since the 90s. I've added some keyboard window management to my personal workflow since then but I don't know any non-geeks who do that—hell,

I really miss that design. It's a lot more relaxing to look at than modern "flat" UI, IMO. Depth and consistent use of UI elements make it so easy to tell what's what. Modern UI seems to be designed to look like a static

As far as what's described in that passage, none of that looks too bad aside from the smart policing. Which everyone else seems to be getting too, anyway. The next worst is the "civilizing banners" thing but then again public
