I don't agree with that. the likelihood of them reducing the cost of the antenna to what it needs to be in Africa is close to 0. even legacy satellite providers, with terminals that are 1/5 the cost cannot do it. and those aren&#x

no, the antenna is cheap and cannot receive from more than one at a time. nothing to do with fcc.

this is not really true relative to what OP said. there are fcc regulations for spectral leakage and such, but that's well known and means you can't transmit outside a service area. but that just means you're in another, adja

you're getting better service than the others because they are not at capacity, and won't be until the chip shortage is over. enjoy it while you can, because speeds will get worse soon, and what you thought was a great service wil

that's my point, though. they're nowhere near capacity and you're comparing it to solutions that are at capacity (DSL). just wait until they need to make more money and the system is capacity constrained.

that's not what it means to be a product. it's a beta service that's nowhere near capacity. it would be like saying a website that served a hundred people is clearly capable of providing the same service to a million.

if you have access to TMobile 5g there's absolutely no reason to get starlink.

India is an extremely poor example since the other 59% can't afford $100/mo. and keep in mind the terminal cost for them is extremely high still.

anecdotes don't really prove anything. while you can pay $100/mo, most people in rural America can't, and that's who they need for the most underserved users.

every credible source I've seen has shown it's not going to make financial sense. so far the returns are extremely poor, and their user adds are far from where they wanted blame the supply shortage or whatever you want, but they&#

SpaceX has not shown anything is cheap yet since they're not a public company and you can't see their financials. yes, they're reusing parts of the rocket, but as musk said recently, it's much more expensive than they wa
