What does comingling have to do with it? Apparently Amazon was able to destroy this seller’s merchandise specifically, so it doesn’t sound like there was a problem identifying it among commingled inventory. I’m getting the impression from t

There are a lot of complaints about allegedly fake merchandise on Amazon and people asking for a crackdown. This is what the other side of that story looks like. The old solution of Amazon mostly ignoring the fakes and just compensating peo

I don’t see any accusation that comingling is the cause of the problem. The seller didn’t deny that he sent the items with the quality complaints. The problem, according to Amazon, is the seller has dodgy receipts. Or according to the selle

If there was sufficient data to assign a 0% or 100% probability to an event, that’s what a forecaster should do. If there isn’t sufficient data, then anyone who claims there is a sure thing is a charlatan.

Maybe what you’re encountering is cross-promotion on a network of podcasts? They want to sell ad spots, but they also want you to spend more time listening to their podcasts so they can sell more ad spots. Cross-promotion also exists in jus

I think part of the issue is that there’s less variety of video ad content out there than static ads. There may not be very many ad dollars out there producing and buying time for video ads you find interesting.

Are you saying FB is trying to target ads based on 3D mapping of homes/bodies while the headset is lying around unused? Or what exactly is the theory here?

I think the world would be a worse place if every product ever made was supported forever. There would be nobody left to work on making things better.

The story I’ve heard is that way more people are using YouTube for music listening than ever used Play Music, and that didn’t seem to be changing any time soon, so it doesn’t make sense to put any more resources toward Play Music.

My feeling on this sort of thing is that you can find a real person who supports virtually any political position. In opinion polling, 40% of the state’s voters support prop 22. That’s millions of people, and it shouldn’t be hard to believe

This site breaks other rules too. Zooming out doesn’t make the font smaller, but makes the column narrower while keeping the font the same size, reducing the amount of text per line (the opposite of what I wanted).

That’s a good option too. Sometimes the model consists of some training and inference code, which can be loaded as a library, plus a bunch of weights, which may be large enough to warrant a separate file. Either way, I think the deployment

“Deploying a model” is sort of a nebulous concept. You probably have some kind of server, which loads a serialized model and runs data from requests or from batch files through the model to get predictions. Which part are we deploying? The

The problem is that they don’t have lidar and therefore can’t reliably measure depth, right? A billboard far away high up in the air may appear in the same direction as a closer road sign if you don’t have depth perception. You should be ab

For a product that’s still being tested and not fully rolled out, you could block it from operating in those spots, if you can reliably map where they are.

Interesting. You’d definitely have some crash detection. A remote human operator could be assigned to take over when the car stops to drive around some obstacle in an unexpected situation. If a crash happened (whether or not it was remote c

If I had to guess the outcome, we’d probably see Google Search keep its present market share (splitting Search and ads wouldn’t help Bing Search beat Google Search). Google Ads and Bing Ads would both bid for space on Google and Bing, in ad

If Ex-Google Ads has the best ad marketplace and can use the space most efficiently, they will bid the most and buy most of the space. So we will still have Ex-Google Ads on Google searches, but they will be owned separately. What differenc

NYT is a private organization, with reporters who have sources from many governments. Since it’s US-based, it has more sources in the US and covers more domestic stories, but I don’t think it’s accurate to say it’s a mouthpiece of the US go
