So you work on enterprise projects which have zero NodeJs adoption. Got it. And what's with the reference to the plugin ? It explicitly states itself as being a way to "simply [want to] acquire a couple of files" I don'

Yeah but what if I want, at some later date, to prove that I am indeed the original author of the said text instead of an imposter ?

I can totally relate to this. I have a bunch of notes and potential blog posts in plain text and markdown waiting to be published. I like to write, its one of my most cherished skills. My fear of petty, shallow criticism and my fear of bein

I attest to the per use-case notion for organizing anything. I'm fairly settled on a homebrew style of noguci's system including pen, folded paper in my back pocket, a few paper notebooks as well as markdown, google docs, simplen

All measures that make sense to 'business' revolve around three things failures, delays and cost. Revenues offset everything but that is always attributed to sales for some reason so don't bank on that. If you can somehow sho

Know why. To push myself i need to know why. Without it, i get distracted too easy. I’ve now returned back to the tried and tested way of writing down (in a personal wiki) my long term goals and how I plan to get there. And a personal noteb

I frequently keep transferring money back home (overseas). Keeping a tab on the exchange rate became quickly annoying. I built a GitLab pipeline that fetches the current exchange rate thrice a day. Each job pushes result to a IFTTT webhook

I am a script junkie. I have to, just have to script every task out. Here's what I've realized. First do it manually, then automate it. Doing manual tasks is frustrating enough to motivate me to automate it. Plus I have a much bet

Yes totally true. Would be hard to impossible to find a someone with solid 10 years of technical experience who is still in a technical role by choice. You would be expected to ‘lead’ teams instead of craft great products

I’ve seen concerns and FUD over getting lost in too many tasks. How do you manage the overhead of 20 4-hour tasks against 2-3 high level tasks?

My experience, a ‘my goal’ gets quickly interpreted as ‘you committed to this’. ‘I can try’ projected as ‘You said you will get this done’. I’m all in for trying my level best and I have seen the rare slip ups penalized, criticized and high

This does not justify the 10 year wait time for having a green card application processed. There are far better, efficient ways to throttle inflow. Also, in the process you’ve lost control of the ‘quality’ of the 5% that makes it through.
