Oh and to summarize the story. According to a DOJ consultant Sanford Litvack Google they were 3 hours away from filing anti-trust charges against Google when the plug was pulled on the Yahoo! deal. Another source here: http://www.techflash

I think it's interesting that Arrington assumes that humans remove objectivity. The BBC for example was always seen as an objective observer of news in the UK. If an editor merely caught "temporal" errors then I don't see a problem.

So people almost instantly get marked as "Not on Amazon" Other stuff is working surprisingly well. The end of a Wii box, shoes (they were even close to the right size) that looked almost like mine, a stapler. I think once the silly value we

How many Perl jobs are turning into Cobol-esque jobs. Maintain a legacy systems and keep it chugging along. How many people build new projects in Perl?

One of the new features that this App provides (above just the usual Amazon features) is the ability to take a photo of stuff you want to "remember". Seem like they Turk it in order to figure out what it is and then recommend products on Am

I thought it would have been nice to use the full quote in the post title. It makes it sounds like a faux pas. Twitter CEO: "It's amazing anyone uses Twitter today. It's hard". Which an extremely honest and candid answer in a discussion. It

In that case why dispute the claim? Or at least why not add small print to clarify the point to a layman that performance varies.

Aside from the content of the article I actually really enjoyed the honest reporting in this article. It was really nice to read some techpress that wasn't wrapped in a layer of the usual BS and just talked candidly about what happened at t

It's a shame Dopplr isn't in that list instead of Trippit. I prefer them in almost every way to Trippit, and the chaps who work on it are jolly nice. Trippit have been excellent at Business development though, and I wonder how much better D

This is one of the things that amazes me, that it's not actually illegal for advertising to issue falsities in the US. I'm pretty sure that's not true back home in the UK, or at least there is an industry watchdog that can punish people who

In some ways this article highlights how fragile Google is. If you think about how quickly Google cleaned up in the search market and yet 97% of their revenues are web Ad based (according to the article). While not all of those are going to

But isn't that the choice of the App developer. It just seems really arbitrary of Apple to pick a set number.

This would have been good for the person asking us to review his app yesterday. The limit of 50 seems pretty arbitrary though. Having a secret free iTunes link would seem to make more sense to me.
