I used Dvorak for a while but I wasn't really happy with it and went back to QUERTY because it was different enough that I found it annoying switching a lot. That was when I had to use a number of different desktop machines though. Now I mo

That's exactly the point. Apple are catering to the vast majority of people rather than the smaller minority of power users. Even among power users those people who regularly hotswap must be pretty slim. I travel a fair amount for work and

You should also remember to throttle login attempts for accounts that don't exist. It's important not to create new attack vectors that don't already exist when implementing security features. If you don't throttle accounts that don't exi

DoS is a different problem. That's about trying to soak up the entire bandwidth of your servers using lots of computers. If you are throttling number of login attempts per account then it doesn't matter what the IP address being used is.

This reminds me of something I wrote to do this with YUI. http://kid666.com/yui-event-list-bookmarklet/ I also wrote a rudimentary Firebug plugin but yours looks way more slick :)

This kind of structured data is the next wave, you shouldn't associate "semantic" with W3C's semantic web stack. That's just one possible vision. Microformats is another. The reality is probably somewhere in between.

While I don't condone the piracy, the first of only two games I've spent money on at the AppStore was Lux DLX ($7.99). That was because I'd spent 3 months becoming hopelessly addicted to the free version. While taking away your freedom of c

This is total piffle. The important difference between Facebook and Twitter is one is open and the other isn't. People already in Facebook's ecosystem use status like Twitter, and people inside and out use Twitter to update their status.
