Surely it’s a question of which tax payers. Is it the tax payers using national parks (and entering lotteries or making reservations) or all tax payers? Charging for service also allows non-tax payers to contribute too. I’m not saying I’m f

It’s seems like a pretty cynical take to say that simply having a modern, standard platform for national parks (or whatever gov service) necessitates that platform must be cost inefficient. I don’t see how improving the status quo and askin

I think this is conceptually a great idea, especially for viewing data. However as soon as you start asking people for money (for reservations) then it becomes a big fraud risk if the UI isn’t on a known same domain (such as something.gov).

This is sensationalist silliness. Simply asking Bard in the right formatting works fine. Admittedly the formatting is a bit annoying. Asking for no preamble doesn't work, asking for no leader doesn't work, asking for no additional

I’m still surprised that got swappable batteries isn’t being seen as an option for commercial. It seems like it would solve a lot of issues (Eg slow charging during peak solar, fast refueling swaps), while giving the manufacturers a subscri

We have a Vitamix Foodcycler [1] we got on sale. It works well but the cycles take a while and it doesn’t process that much at once. Honestly we just went back to using a counter top bucket and then putting it in our municipal food waste bi

With that logic you could also argue that much more will be needed for trucks and heavy equipment. I don’t know if it averages out, but I don’t think you can assume that less is needed not more, or the same as the article.

The bases of garbage trucks seems to just be a truck platform. So I don’t think they are much different from other equivalent vehicles. Given these trucks almost never get highway speeds, I would assume it’s even as good as 3mpg because hea

For these industrial use cases I’m surprised hot swappable batteries aren’t being considered more. Are these current trucks doing 12 hour shifts plowing snow and hauling garbage on a single tank of diesel, or are they refueling? I get that

If you did it as clockwise by default instead of listing the ideal turn count you could list the minimum number of “counter” turns. Then have a button to do the next turn as a counter turn.
