Even easier on macOS. Something like this should work: ifconfig enX inet6 fd42:dead:beef::1 prefixlen 48 No ned to bring it up as it should already be up. enX should be your USB/thunderbolt ethernet adapter, e.g. en6. Then you c

Phones are a bit small to explore the full potential of mobile. I'd look into getting an iPad Pro. Lots of cool stuff you can do.

I was there in Cape Town yesterday. People were pretty much in awe. 3 pilots in each plane, very experienced. So although it seems risky, I believe it was a calculated risk and within limits. Still seems crazy though!

Yes, it assumes senior level at pre AI, but this will apply to pretty much anything. Java in particular. Keep in mind of course that a lot of so called seniors were also producing mediocre code <insert framework or language here>. It

Stop claiming this. It's complete bullshit and you probably have never even been here.

How did you understand Angular to be similar to htmx? They are nearly polar opposites. Can achieve the same though.

I mean, htmx and JS glue logic is truly the differentiator now because LLM's do it so well. It's absolutely the way to go.

Agreed. In fact, I find Django and Postgres to be the best solution for htmx but Go stack is probably almost as good in terms of developer velocity and obviously much faster. So I think that's a good solution. You can really build powe

Interesting, I uploaded a voice recording from a meeting I had recorded with a relatively cheap microphone. Soniox came out really good. OpenAI started getting some things very wrong and even introduced some German. Google did okay but cut

Unless, of course, new opportunities arise and the economy grows. This is not even unlikely as we've seen amazing growth the last 25 years, even. In which case your sentiment is probably correct. And now that I think of it, this is pot

Maybe a super smart AI will take over the part of telling the smaller AI's what to do. Humanity can then relax in floating chairs drinking soft drinks and consuming AI generated entertainment.

Won't this mean that a lot of developers in Silicon Valley will find themselves out of a job? If the competition (AI operators) can sit 8000 miles away and be paid peanuts.

Btw, interestingly, I tried getting Ox Alpha to make Tic Tac Toe directly as a Linux ELF executable. It came up with assembly code (NASM syntax) and it just timed out when I asked for pure machine code.

This is a crazy intuitive API. ZStack { NaturePhoto() LightEffectOnBlack() .blendMode(.plusLighter) } How is the performance?

I suppose you could decompile it to math (very broadly speaking).

Sure that's a theory that sometimes plays out, but similarly one also sees almost exponential growth or improvement, yet followed by a plateau for a long time until the next breakthrough.

But right now AI assisted development isn't really making you more productive by an order of magnitude. It's easily a game of whack-a-mole right now. I estimate that an excellent programmer equipped with Claude Code only sees a 30

Where we're going, we won't even need programming languages or libraries at all. AI's will just generate pure binaries full of magic, right? /s

Love this design. Kind of reminds me of this Norwegian web shop: https://arngren.net/ hasn't changed much since the early 2000s or even late 90s

Oh dear, the comments here are a bit disturbing and hilarious. The "Linux" mindset simply does not comprehend that proper UI's can still be made. Maybe that also includes the Windows mindset these days. Most of us macOS users

So the original advice actually still stands. You can still start off with Posgres, store it in BYTEA columns, and then work on a plan to use an object storage as you grow. S3 may not be possible and you will be evaluating other options lik
