I believe isomorphic has fallen out of favor (as it's being reclaimed for its original specific meaning) compared to Universal.

Yeah, same here - I was exploring this area last year in a few different ways [0]. I think it was still early then, but with GraphQL, DataScript, React Native, etc. I think we're really getting close to some very, very powerful tools f

Wow, this is pretty awesome! I really like the idea of tooling moving out of editors, into libraries that can then be easily integrate into automated tools (reformatting, type checking, scope info, etc.), and of course rendered in editor. I

Also interesting to see the pitch on "ClojureScript is a Product Design Tool"[0], written by Precursor's designer. A lot of this stuff can be made more accessible for designers and FE developers who don't want to have

Definitely agree re: datalog/pull syntax for SQL backends. Quite surprised it hasn't happened yet.

It's worthwhile watching Nubank's talk on how they manage these things with Datomic on the backend [0] - providing a "complete" (filtered) database to the client, http caches for queries based on tx-time, and syncing mob

Also worthwhile to checking out a SkillsMatter talk Tim (one of the Arcadia authors) gave, really appreciate the sense of freedom/interactivity in the demo talk (once he gets into it) https://skillsmatter.com/skillscast

Pairing with someone who's built a few Om apps should get you up to speed in no more than 45 minutes. I've done it a few times now, and it just takes a few examples, building some components, and composing them together.

I get the same impressions. Even working with ClojureScript professionally for ~3 years, contributing to the compiler (a tiny, tiny bit), and diving deep into a lot of the libraries... the tooling story is way too chaotic for me. But I'

I suspect swannodette (dnolen)'s talk at EuroClojure should be a pretty compelling showcase of how Clojure is quickly blossoming in the web-dev space.

That's the plan. Gamma's still in super-high flux as I use it for a production-grade app (along with Om/Datomic, some fun tech). Once things settle down, I expect ClojureScript should be pretty close to self-hosted, so everyo

I've actually been writing a guide to WebGL via Gamma (a bit like React.js for WebGL, written in ClojureScript), and was able to take it a bit further. * Live editing tutorials with the code directly embedded [0] * Hot-reloadabl

It would hurt startups under a few conditions. Perhaps there could be an overall package, rather than pure salary (e.g., equity, etc.)? Or a gradient on the scale of the employer? It's difficult to find a set of rules that don't h

Is "Gun Grabber" some kind of derogatory but catchy term for someone proposing gun-regulation? I've never heard it before, wondering if it's common (perhaps in some geographical areas more than others).
