I often say "the Roman alphabet", which seems a bit odd. I suppose it's because I most frequently started talking about it in Japanese/Korean, where it's called "Roman letters". A bit of googling says that it can be called both Roman and La

Perhaps, but I think a slight disservice to Blank. I understand the argument and see its merit, but I also think that anyone who would be involved with them could just as easily have done it themselves.

I'm not sure if you're expecting a congratulatory note or not. I'm sure Steve Blank knew that people could find the identity if they really wanted to, and yet he chose not to share it. Having even a small hurdle to overcome means that the v

Killing someone while drunk should be considered premeditated. Are you suggesting that in 100% of the cases where killing someone (and I assume this includes manslaughter) is premeditated? Because if you are not, then it should not be con

I had a chance to meet the devver guys, both very engaging and intelligent people. I know shutting down devver has to be incredibly painful, but I'm sure they'll put the lessons learned to great use in the near future. All the best to both

Very cool! Invoicing is a terrible (and least interesting) part of freelancing and consulting. This looks like a great MVP. I especially like that when I print it out, that there's no big "billmebob" logo at the top there. I think it would

Out of curiosity, do you happen to have chicken scheme working on the iphone? I've been developing a 3d engine with it for the past few days with the intention of porting it to the iphone, so if you have some progress already, that would be

Yes, it'll be done over webcam. We're testing out the format, see how it works. It's been successful for smaller size (4-5 people), so time to expand it a bit. Also, I'm curious about the back button not working. It's just a standard poster

This class level may start out a bit simple for a lot of hn people, but it might fill a niche as well. The idea is to have very short, very simple ideas taught quickly (10-15 minutes, including examples), followed by 25 minutes of questions
