This is one of those projects that looks like with just the right combination it'll take off. I can see Chinese people especially translating a huge deal of dramas, technical articles, news(!), etc. Subtitling would probably be a great feat

There are a few FP-related piece you might want to know, but as long as you understand the idea of first-class functions (passing a function to another function as an argument), then you should be able to get your head around it quickly. It

Thanks for sharing this, it totally blew my mind. He explains each piece and term so clearly that I really felt I could finally get my head around some of the basic music terminology, and maybe even try recreating some basic melodies. Wish

The author mentions defensive object cloning, which is, in general, an unpleasant way of doing things. Using immutable data structures makes for a far saner development experience (although with Javascript as the underlying target, it proba

I wrapped/integrated handlebars templates last weekend, and after understanding how the google Closure library/compiler does things, it took ~15 minutes to have it working beautifully (using basically the same technique as jayq). For a lot

I agree, the support has been fantastic as well. I see so much potential in their offering, I keep hoping they'll open a way for others to contribute modules/libraries in a kind of marketplace. Good tech/product/market fit like this always

It looks absolutely amazing, and I loved the visualizations. If I had this in early calculus, or even before that, in middle school when I was first learning to program but hated maths, it would have been amazing. I see a ton of potential

Thanks for the feedback, there are a few challenges around this - we need to get it order ASAP. We've had a few performance-only hack days, and have another one this weekend. It'd probably be work a blog post talking about some of the chall

Appreciate it - we want small startups to be able to use Zenbox without worrying about the cost until they're getting enough value from it, hence the free tier. Any feedback on the product is hugely welcome, sean@zenboxapp.com

One of the best, and certainly most entertaining, explanations and examples of the Y-combinator. I didn't expect much going in, but I was definitely blown away by the quality and understandable nature. Please give it a go, it's a lot of fun

Thanks - Cooper and team really built a legion of passionate users, and it's been great working with them. It's a virtuous cycle when you work on a product that people care about enough to encourage you to keep building and refining.
