I believe Clojars at least supports package signing, if not requires it. Was extremely useful in a code audit recently.

It seems to be a novel approach, certainly worth the experimentation. Calling it stupid is going far overboard without intimate knowledge of their expectations and motivations.

Do you mean TAM instead of valuation? That's a very strange way (if that's the only way) of defining a startup's valuation. Also, surely you wouldn't be angel investing in anything with a valuation anywhere near $1B, you'd never make any mo

No, and I'm unlikely to buy one until there's a particular killer application. I'm excited by the potential, but I don't have any concrete ideas to explore, nor the time/disposable income to tinker.

Sure, but I think you can agree that's one of the worst scenarios - there might be slightly better ones (softer landing, taking money off the table, etc.), and some worse (legal troubles, decades-long debt, broken relationships), but this i

Is there ever a point where a single person has "built most of the product"? At that stage, the product has so much evolution left, that early employees are going to be critical to shaping and developing it. It's almost certainly a matter o

I'm really excited as Firebase keeps expanding with new clients - we've been migrating from a redis + faye setup to firebase (via their REST client), and it's been fantastically simpler, more reliable, more fun at that. The support has also

Seems like 1.) they let their users know about a month ahead of time and 2.) they were only a secondary aggregator of existing content that wouldn't be lost by them going away. Your point still stands, that's just a poor example.

Would be great to see an open-source front-end to Kandan ( https://github.com/kandanapp/kandan ), which has really started picking up steam. I imagine with the momentum behind it there's a good chance it'll be carried along by the community

What similarities between the two pieces do you see? What task would you replace Riemann with httpd? Genuinely curious, though slightly skeptical.

This looks great - what kind of API do you guys have? Looks like you've already done the smart thing of uploading transcripts to where people can use them (their CRMs, etc.). Would be awesome if we could query for transcripts given a user i

PagerDuty is an awesome product, and Alex is a super nice guy. It's a great combination of a not-incredibly-sexy area with hair-on-fire customers. Really excited to see them continuing to grow out and help people. Congrats guys!

I think that's completely fair. The main problem with analytics/metrics is that they're all useless - or very close to it. Each of them is horrible about getting data out in order to correlate it with other services. If segment.io can con

Yes, very curious why the effort didn't go into an existing solution like errbit? Off the top of my head, errbit is rails/mongodb, which isn't a great combo for scaling out to the size of, say, Airbrake, but then Squash itself is written in

Ahk, it's free? After reading the post, I expected the app to be a way to bring in additional income. What's the motive behind making it free? Good story by the way, way to push yourself to accomplish things.

Interestingly, I've been getting closer to wanting something like this. The biggest reduction on customer support we've been able to do so far is short screencasts explaining features quickly and clearly. But as Zenbox gets more and more in

From the example sites, it looks like Telescope is extremely configurable. I haven't looked at the code yet, but is it considered production quality? I wouldn't mind a small bookmarking tool like Sidebar for Clojure/Clojurescript projects.
