I'm having a hard time figuring out who would be buying this. Only thing I can think of is that the chip has some extra features not really advertised that the customer needed.

Care to name and shame? Or are you talking about many different experiences. I’ve never really had this problem but my sample size is small.

I’m imagining that by having conditional computation you’re basically partitioning the state space up, with each part of the space getting its own smaller network. this might allow you the generality of a larger network, but with the abilit

This work uses conditional computation to allow for "Outrageously large" networks which may work better in practice but which will be even harder to understand. I'm very interested in working on using this same sort of condit

I use emacs + auctex to edit and compile my latex. Then just run git manually on my Tex and pdf files. I think you could use just about any latex editor you want and have this workflow work for you.

The person you are responding too isn’t saying that youtube will never be overtaken, he’s saying he doesn’t think it will be overtaken by dozens of smaller content platforms, but rather one large one.

To be fair the article is talking about new kinds of plastics that might actually be superior to metal gears in the future. The consumer grader plastic gearing of today who's primary advantage (AFAIK) is cost do kind of suck.

I think people in general want to put up a positive persona up. I think most people (certainly not all) aren’t going to tell strangers how awful their job is, even if they think that.

I think it is worth telling (politely) the questioner that they really should start by telling people what they really want to do, in order to get better feedback in the future.

You are technically correct, it's just that when the vector of booleans gets long enough they start to exhibit certain properties that "normal" binary vectors don't have. Because of this the authors use the term "hy

I was under the impression DP was usually used for getting the exact answer to certain classes of problems faster than exhaustive search. I usually see approximations compared to the ground truth dynamic programming answer. Do you see the r

This is an interesting question. As another poster said, to do this we would probably have to rebuild most of modern civilization. Leaving instructions to do that seem almost impossible. I honestly think though that leaving behind a detaile
