completely agree, the service is fabulous, great technology and they have a huge inventory, even on-going shows. I don't have TV but have been able to watch Gossip Girl without having to wait for the DVDs of Season 4.

it's equally possible to come up with other non causal correlations. Sometimes things just progress and are utterly unrelated. Seeing patterns where there aren't any is a human survival characteristic.

why would they? The market for Windows, OSX, iOS etc dwarfs the linux-on-the-desktop market. It's business. Linux is for servers, OSX is for clients (and pesky Windows for the office because IT says so) I don't see this changing anytime soo

I don't have facebook or foursquare so am unable to try it. But from the pitch I think it might be useful. I worry though about anything that encourages the herd mentality. I like to go to places I know to be fun or interesting rather than

You said it with more finesse, but exactly. This is just an badly written article on a subject that is clearly not understood by the author trying to grab eyeballs through sensationalism. Using printer inks as an example was the first big c

Thousands of years seemed to go by where uprisings didn't need social networking. The Babylonians didn't need Twitter when they rose up against the Assyrian Empire. The Inaros' didn't need Facebook when they confronted the Persians in Egypt

"Most people don't really enjoy being mean; they do it because they can't help it." I wish this point had been expanded upon, but I feel like I just saw a bunch of weasels sucking eggs. It would make a very interesting essay on the origins

you only need a license to broadcast legally , if you're trying to over-throw a government, it would seem unlikely that you'd be too worried about doing it legally. HAM radio is interesting, because it is the most decentralized form of com

Apps provide a thick-client experience (richer UI, off-line storage etc) and people when they want to do a specific task know what to use. It seems obvious why until the web can be all things to all people we will always have apps. 10B to b

Saying people do not know what they like is clearly shortsighted. In large aggregate there are trends and lessons to be learned from consumer data and it is not all noise, nor is it to be taken with a grain of salt. Analytics is a tool, alo
