You mean companies can create cartels and raise prices together? Yes, that can happen, but firstly, that is not inflation (no increase in money supply happened), and secondly most non-government cartels are not very stable. They leave oppor

I would say that energy and rent are not very correlated, so if both are increasing rapidly at the same time, it is probably because of inflation. And which one of my statements is not true? Definition of inflation or that scarcity of a pro

You can look up the old definition of inflation (since recently they have changed it to be more confusing), which comes from the word inflate. Refers to inflating the money supply. Printing money is inflating the money supply. Scarcity of g

People don’t like hearing the obvious. Also one correction, governments printing money IS inflation. They inflate the money supply. Banks can also create additional inflation, but that power is granted by governments usually. Usually when s

EFF don’t say they know who you are, rather how unique your device appears. This is a problem because if you appear very unique, only if one site knows your identity, everyone can potentially know it.

Apple google don't “steal” from devs. Devs are a business and if they are worth their salt they account for business expenses in their pricing. If anything Google and apple “steal” from their OS customers. This is the same as saying go

Why not add a check to see if the new hash is a collision? With an index I don’t think it would ever be a bottleneck.

What if France has complex rules and extra regulations that bring the profit from the country to just 1 percent, compared to ~10% on global operations. With your logic you will tax the subsidiary way more than 100%.

I always wondered why not use a system like this to heat water and use turbine to generate electricity. Shouldn’t this get much higher output efficiency compared to pv panels.

No, why would you think Apple is that stupid. They hire 6000 employees because apparently people of Ireland are efficient, just like their government for corporations. They work for lower prices than alternatives so Apple likes them more.

Also this all smells cartel behavior, except on global scale. Should we also demand the cheaper phone manufacturers increase their prices to match apple’s. Some countries are more efficient other more bloated.

Thanks for being understanding. Now like I also mentioned below, there is no true contract in reality. Since you need to have leverage to get your reward. The people don’t have much power in this de-facto contract that you mentioned, thus d
