Simply they are tamper resistance. Albeit crap because it took about a week for the Chinese screwdriver factories to churn them out as well :) I suspect they had to design their own screws however because most of the tamper bits have a lot

It’s because we need to say “I fucking told you so” every time someone suffers for making a stupid decision like brexit.

4) lots of foot guns I would rather like a new option which was designed as a VCS from day one, that is user friendly and fast. Fossil is actually nearly there (I used it for a bit for some private projects)

Take the dead ones to bits and do a post mortem. There's enough of them.

Yes it is a gamble but as I said, it is from Lenovo as well. The battery manufacturing date I got from a "new" one was 4 years old once.

Having returned my 2018 "improved butterfly keyboard" MBA because the keyboard died after 3 weeks, I suspect that the issue isn't being taken seriously. A minor design revision that didn't pick up or resolve a recurring

Yes amazon support is pretty amazing. They’ve walked me through fixing a VPC I screwed up. No complaints here.

I can’t even fathom it myself. I begrudgingly spent a month on azure as I worked for an MSFT partner. This was to establish if it was the way to go. It wasn’t. It was a friction filled mess. AWS slowly crept in because there was no entry ba

Yes. Incidentally Connect used to be a placebo for us enterprise lot. This has been going on for a long time. And I get told regularly by people who only use the Microsoft ecosystem that’s it is me who is the problem as well!? These people

I fire up a suitable instance when I need it rather than leave one running. I have an AMI ready to roll with tools on it. Average about $7-25 a month depending on what I’m doing.

Oh I totally agree there as well. Any anonymous or semi anonymous public opinion seems to being the extreme views. But they aren’t a news provider. The entire of Twitter is an opinion piece.

That’s a relatively mild example of what goes on. The problem is that DM bait extremist views to bolster their own readership. This isn’t an interest specified readership but a relatively hardcore propaganda machine. Check the backers as we

You can also get NOS batteries on eBay for virtually nothing. Recently got a 68+ for my T440 for £39 delivered. Be careful though as anything over 4 years old can be DOA as the batteries slowly discharge and the BMS in the battery itself di

I do that stuff on AWS. I try and treat my laptop as a terminal.

Unfortunately you’re right. This plugin triggers on daily mail which should start the crazies off pretty sharpish.

Drop seller fees right down. £45 on a £450 item and then to shaft you for fees on postage for a virtual listing is a fucking joke. You can tell how bad it has got because eBay has no new listings unless there’s a seller fees offer on.

If they made it slightly thicker it wouldn’t have a fucking awful keyboard that I had to return after three weeks because it started registering duplicate key presses. They compromised everything for this aspect of the design.

Actually it's usually better in the digital domain for all of those reasons. Most systems these days have minimal transducer processing stuff in the analogue domain and get it into the digital one as quickly as possible. Analogue syste
