I would say that Dune would be better as a limited serie vs being a movie. It would give more time to expand on the background information and yes I agree as it is, I feel that it's a movie that just works better for people who have re

I've been rather impressed with Villeneuve's Dune. It's not perfect, I feel that there's not enough backstory and context for those not familiar with the novel (not explaining CHOAM and the landsraad makes the emperor&#x

Ha! thought exactly the same. I haven't used Windows in 18 years but when he mentioned installshield and cab files I felt right at home. Still remember using the PowerToys to open cab files :)

The main reason I'm interested is that my previous 16 inch macbook pro would regularly go up to 90 degrees celsius. So, my hope is that it won't go above 50 degrees celsius... I don't want to burn my legs...

When I last researched, most studies studying vegetarian diets for toddlers and young children showed clear deficiencies when it came to certain nutrients and delayed development due to this. So I'm not entirely sure I'd call it u

I agree but to be fair, I do remember that a lot of fresh international undergrad students just arriving from China tended to be very patriotic and pro-CCP even back in early 2000s. The difference is that a lot of them changed their minds a

I'd say there's a clear difference between what they were doing post Deng Xiaoping and what they've been doing since Xi Jinping came to power. It's much more worrying now. I remember 15-20 years ago, my friends in China

Hadn't read about garbage collectors but given that it's a job that's hard to recruit for and has a higher accident than most jobs, it makes sense. It's the kind of job that non-immigrants tend to not want to do.

The problem is that often enough official translations are not necessarily made by good, well paid translators. So we're not translating amateur translator to real translators but amateur passionate translators to cut-rate translators.
