I still read to my daughter who just turned 12 before bed for 30 minutes or so. She can quite easily read the books I read to her, but still wants me to read.

Not just a developing country problem. Look at the money that cannot be account for during the Bush wars of the early 2000s, with Halliburton being given costs+profit contracts and being able to say without oversight what there costs where.

Coming up to 20 year vegetarian. If you haven't, think about getting a pressure cooker. Beans / lentils chickpeas just became viable and quick. Soups / stews can be cooked in a few minutes and can be frozen and last forever
