Independent consulting (as in, I tell you what to do, not you tell me what to do) for AI integrations (whether and how to add AI to your product/systems, and how to effectively use AI for coding). There's so much BS in AI that the

Interesting to see the inflection point when Jon joined. I recall something similar when Marko joined Plausible as a marketing person, which also started as a solo effort by a developer. To my knowledge Pieter does both himself, but he buil

"Logs" sounds innocous, "private data" appearing in those chats is much worse. As a citizen of an EU country, I do not view trampling on my rights, directly violating my country's laws and reneging on published priv

True. I don't think he'd outright lie, but possibly the calculation is ... stretched ... to fit the narrative. Let's call it a small pizza, then :)

The energy and/or water use comes up from time to time so I did a little digging: The average ChatGPT query uses 0.34 Wh (0.12 kJ, 0.3kcal) and 0.32ml of water. This means if you ask it one question every two minutes, you're using

Not OP, but no. IMHO, a fully local app is an app that can run locally with all the functionality, not that it's isolated from everything else. Browser, email client (running locally on your device such as Mail.app, mutt, Outlook,...),

Had major problems with xinerama, suspend/resume, vsync, probably a bunch of other stuff. That said, I've been avoiding AMD in general for so long the ecosystem might have really improved in the meantime, as there was no incentive

That didn’t bother me so much (less than it should have), but string manipulation in C is tedious , man! And there was soo much string manipulation (none of it done by a helpful framework)… I used Perl instead, which worked way better in t

Yes. Personally I believe current copyright law is a massive outreach and mostly serves established big companies, not small creators and innovators. I'd like to see it curtailed by a lot. That's no excuse for a VC-backed startup
