I personally think YouTube premium is one of the best (legal) bang-for-buck entertainment services out there right now. A bajillion times the content of all the other video streaming services combined, plus music videos, for half the cost o

Pretty much everyone I know (admittedly mostly techies) have gone back to pirating. It’s ridiculous how many streaming services you need, and how much each costs, to get access to the popular shows of the season. It doesn’t matter if I use

I did the pizza thing back when bitcoin first started. Ever since then (and through to currently) I use Bitcoin to pay for various things like my Mullvad account each year, torrent/etc services, random stuff like that. Mostly because I

I’m primarily a Mac user (from the 80s until now minus a Linux break), but still think Win98SE was the best OS ever made. The UI was flawless. Fast/responsive even on low spec PCs, cohesive design across the entire OS, logically laid o

Try another language for the time you’re away. I spent 2 weeks in hospital and spent it offline playing with PICO-8 by downloading the PDF references and just experimenting. Doesn’t need to be PICO-8 but there’s plenty of languages that can

Yeah I couldn’t decide if it was .25 or .5 because the dropped frames make the movements of the human look janky at any speed, but going off the part where he’s moving the blocks around .25 looked a bit more “natural” to me. Either way the

Conveniently not labeled that the video is all at 4x speed. Using the “playback speed” menu to watch at 0.25x makes the human’s movements much more realistic and the robots movements much less impressive.

I’ve used DDG exclusively for a couple years now and at least with my usecases have found it better than Google in every single way other than images (which I still use it for, but need to do !g to proxy Google maybe 1 in 5 times).

Partial fix for the minus or the double quotes? Both are such a critical part for searching anything these days, it’d be a real shame to lose either.

Welcome to modern YouTube, where channels are heavily pressured to increase user watch-time or they'll get penalised. I'm a huge fan of YouTube, it's the only tv/video/etc type content I watch in life, yet they'

Great technical explanation of the limitations of "true" 8-bit games, while also going to some pretty crazy efforts to actually replicate Minecraft (as close as feasibly possible) on a real 8-bit processor.
