Non-profit here. Getting an E5 license is simply a no brainer. It’s insane.

Maybe so, but if the recipient of the email, or sender of the email is not using an email service that provides the same then those emails should not be considered private. They might not be accessible on my email service, but they are on s

Email isn't really secure or private anyway. And Proton's email is only making email between Proton accounts private, so unless a large number of my email recipients are also on Proton it's a moot point. I don't get the

Honestly, cryptocurrencies (I hate that these have hijacked "crypto" for their silly garbage, to me crypto will always be cryptography. Old man yells at cloud I guess..) just invite abuse. As a service provider I'd never offe

What if that $10/mo is going to result in a charge back from the stolen credit card? That, on top of spam and whatever other abuse is going on with that account.

Privacy != Anonymity. I can see why they do what they do, it probably prevents a lot of spam accounts and abusive use type accounts from being created. But privacy doesn't mean anonymous. If you want anonymous I don't think Proton

It was a direct response to auto-playing when loading the page. I think if you did that but popped the screens you do now you pose a problem of people that load the page but don’t have the ability to pause. Imagine a work environment as an

Don’t do that, I could see that being bad too. Unable to stop or pause is another problem. The various screens to get started just need to go away.

I love that we jump directly to "deception" rather than "this could be a mistake" A better approach would've been: "Your website shows "Starting at 959 for the DIY option, but when I click on it the base o

I'm generally in agreement, but when I need to share something, the outline tends to be easiest to share with others. I'm really happy it's there. Maps for me, outline for others.

27 subjects is a pretty low number of people to base this one. In any scientific paper, doesn't Hacker News get super uppity about the small number? I seem to think this one should be treated the same way.

VB6 was the thing that got me so interested in development. I honestly miss it a ton. Everything now requires so much more to just make a simple app for something, and I'm on a Mac so it's even more of a pain.

Another request for better investment input. It was really bad for me this year. I suffered through it but improvements here would be super welcome. I paid for the deluxe stuff even though I didn’t need it just to put money into the bucket

I use Shush on my Mac to have a push to talk button that's independent of the app. That way I can leave the app unmuted if I plan to talk at all, and can always use the same button.
