Massive render() sounds like those massive viewControllers from Cocoa. With experience it slowly goes away. But yeah it can be daunting to look at sample codes and see 300 lines of render(). It helps if it's broken down in named funct

To be fair React without JSX is pretty bad. I did that for a while with TypeScript before it got JSX support.

You know what, the barrier is fucking shit, that's true. I had issues myself and I'm not sure I am doing it right. However don't knock it off because of the precompilation stuff. Mostly because I'd like a nice comparison

Did you try React before switching over? How did you enjoy data-bindings after working setState() ?

But is that such a massive number in comparison? It sounds like you're talking executive levels. Not that I disagree with you, I just think the numbers don't add up to be called massive.

Have I misunderstood? Does everyone get the $70k so a software engineer is getting as much as a data entry or a receptionist? And how much does it scale? Will it work when the company is forced to look into profit? Right now they seem to h

So when can you weigh a dime bag? Asking for a friend. But seriously this could be potentially awesome. Could you convince people to put a bowl on their phone, memorise its "weight" and then fill it with stuff to calculate calori

Not sure why you're being down voted. I've also grown to want both sides. We don't know what's going on at the time and I trust cops as much as I trust the accused.

Hmm, that's not a bad idea actually. So you never expose your models at all to your components? Apart from dirty-check for POST/PUT and uniqueness/sorting what other benefits could Backbone models have? How do you expose your

Yup, but it's important to know that the building blocks in JSX isn't the actual DOM, it's some sort of a descriptive explanation of it. That's what's being used to diff. If I understood it correctly.

That's actually what I love about React apart form using hierarchal components as building blocks. I set the state, and the lib handles the rendering for me. Makes things much easier and is also superior for building UI than e.g UIKit.

Have they fixed the issue where it was really hard to work with third party libraries unless they have type definitions? One problem I saw that it was heard to try out release candidates for React when they were lacking type definitions. Ap

Euphoria was used in Star Wars Unleashed. It actually looked much much better than the rag dolls demonstrated in the tech demo. Use the force to levitate a storm trooper as he grabs his buddy only for both to be smashed to the wall. :)
