It's in Google's wheelhouse now , it wouldn't have been six or seven years ago. Give it a chance, the overreactions in this thread and in general are ridiculous.

Outside of rhetorical amusement, that term has no real world meaning for most of us. I very much doubt it was meant to be taken literally. he apparently had no problems with making his own deplorable ethics part of the Mozilla message.

I am absolutely 100% intolerant of anyone opposed to gay marriage Is what I responded to. If you choose to argue against a strawman, that's your business but I won't have anything to do with the perversion of others' argume

Seriously? I understand this is pretty emotional topic for a lot of people here, but this is just absolutely ridiculous.

This word is being used way too much today, disagreement does not necessarily entail bigotry. He could actively endorse anti gay marriage without strongly and unfairly disliking gay people, ideas, etc. It's a majorly shitty decision

Eich shouldn't be able to enter a room without being berated, until he concedes and gives up his bigotry. Seems somewhat intolerant of different opinions to me

Of course people matter more, and I admit I reached when I brought Henry Ford into this. This entire discussion just strikes me as a bit misguided, there are more to people than a single belief and judging them solely by one aspect of their

Being equally bigoted towards bigots without even attempting to understand their viewpoints is a bit odd don't you think?

Henry Ford published a series of anti-semitic pamphlets, but that didn't take away from his prowess as a founder/CEO. I don't agree with Eich's views, but simply focusing on that aspect of him isn't the strongest of

I still can't decide if Firefox was copying Chrome's UI, or if it was just following the minimalist trend of nearly everything else these days. Either way, I prefer it to the previous versions

You're acting as if SXSW is(was) the only draw to Austin's music scene. ACL, Fun Fun Fest, X other festivals and the hundreds of different venues with bands playing every night all make up a a part of it.

Reddit isn't exactly the pinnacle of civilized discussion, especially the defaults like /r/technology. Regardless, that thread was definitely the worst cesspool I've seen since donglegate
