Look at how many distinguished engineers, or other very high level individual contributors who have actual real power there are compared to Directors and VP's who manage large groups of people. The individual contributor path is expone

Tracking the centre of mass of the skateboarder would give you an idea of how to get additional height on your ollie. Essentially sucking up your legs, bending at the waist and throwing your arms down will allow you to clear higher obstacl

There are bushings which will provide a small amount of spring, but your general points stands that the force comes from pushing down on the tail and shifting the front foot up to the nose to pull the skateboard up.

I'd argue that using a CRM isn't in the sales people's best interest. If they can keep all of their contacts in their personal contact list they are better off. Plus, from their perspective any time entering stuff into a CRM

I still think that this is very limiting. I'm in Canada (Waterloo, Ontario) and I just can't see trying out at a company for a month. That said, I'm "old" (36), and have family responsibilities. If I were a naive

How many people are realistically willing to do a trial for a month? Developers are in demand. They likely already have a job.

I think of managing expectations to be only tangentially related to managing up. I try to get into my manager's head. What are they worried about, what do they not care about, when is it best to present a solution, when is it best to
