I am a Swede with Danish and Norwegian heritage and I think this is pathological. If you try to resist and be social anyway, you will seem a bit strange or even feminine if you do it in a seemingly smooth way...

Angular is over-engineered and I doubt what they are doing is the right way to go. React, on the other hand, simplifies the stack a lot actually. I don't think we will seriously find a consensus until we get WebAssembly.

Templates are actually much more advanced, in several ways, than C-style preprocessor macros. Maybe this was the part where you would "sound like English isn't your first language" though? etc etc...

You have to practice. What sorts of projects would you like to work on? Just knowing the language is usually not enough; you'll have to learn some libraries and frameworks. Also, most people learn the important stuff on the job.
