Personally this is my experience. I've had a couple of very distressful/low times in my life and I've always instinctually exercised rigorously in terms of weights, running, swimming, etc during those times to take my mind of

Agreed...up until the point these things become sentient then we'll have a time unravelling that mess.

I imagine an analogy of summer camp as that is my only way to relate as I'm in a rich country. I'm going to go to a summer camp not of my choosing and participating in activities not of my choosing and being bunked with people not

It's going to get more interesting or disgusting depending on your compass (no judgement either way here) when robots are connected to this as that reminds me of times Elon was snickering when talking about Optimus and "other uses

I might be skipping the competence part but personally my performance has been directly correlated to how much I care about my team/org. My attention is focused and goal oriented in a proactive way when I do care but passive and reacti

So far I've found it very nice to work with as shorthand. The only issue I have so far is override scenarios for merging 2 class attributes as it isn't straightforward how this works unless you have a map ahead of time to remove c

That seems so efficient to do it all at once like that. The brain seems to be this massively parallel/buffered biological machine with an assembly pipeline to the consciousness center(s)? Like a mix of specific architecture layout (sof

Yah I don't understand how all the factors come together and my hindsight is probably even wrong as I met new people and worked out more and a lot of good things happened and opportunities etc. But I do know that getting some sun for s

I moved to sunny California because of this having started out in Seattle which is known for being cloudy and rainy a lot. My mood has been way better overall and I find that spending a bit of time in the sun each day makes me feel as right

I remember it was posted here prior... I wonder if this is THE best way to report wrongs from big tech and then shame them into retraction so the little guys don't get crushed.

I've tried doing this myself for company related compliance testing which mostly is bullshit anyway and doesn't apply to me. GPT3 is better used as a tentative backup tbh because it sometimes gives wrong answers or strange answers

The bit about the logs was funny. I have noticed my oculus 2 be pretty responsive and zippy to now being frustrating to the point I put it down. I would guess its getting bloated.

Some of the better ones do most of the thinking for you in a clever and minimal way and seem to reset the status quo of giant dependency trees that take a long time to install and update and deploy (relatively to your scenario). deno fresh

This will be nice when a person wants a custom item tailor made to describe visually what it should look like and verify the picture before sending over. Taking that idea further into the future, we can clearly see how speech-to-text and dy

It is too early to tell. I'm more optimistic that humans will shape the outcome they want ultimately, but that will come with bumps in the road. We know that the human experience has been getting better overall than worse in terms of l

Spot on, like the more basic part of a raw dream feed without rhyme or reason. Maybe even laying the groundwork for an experience architecture's input when that day finally comes, who knows.

The images remind me of one of my dreams where logic and reasoning are thrown out and the pure gist of the thing is taken. I wonder if it is because it is built with vector operations and calculus to determine the closest match or fuzzy mat

idk I think this is a red herring. You have to ensure the technology itself isn't so susceptible to hacking. Gmail goes a long way to do this and Google is a technology company that helps other companies with their tech. Hmm, I wonder

I think Tom Hanks was in a film where he believed a volleyball was a person at some point in his journey where things weren't going so well. He would talk to it and it talked back (in his mind). We knew it was a volleyball and not a pe

Meaning rather, if atoms can produce consciousness, then why can't a computer system based on atoms produce consciousness? I don't see a reason why not. It may be beyond our capability but physics should permit it.

I have questions but first with a premise. Atoms configured in a certain way produce the rich behavior of awareness and agency that we can observe in humans and other animals. This awareness and agency seems similar enough to our own behavi

You could tell the difference in that the AI pronounced "Hussars" correctly where as the human reader did not. Without adding in our human error, our AI-trained version will be the more educated one for certain going forward.

That sounds effective but I wouldn't want to work there. I do pair programming but on an as-needed basis. I find it very effective in short focused bursts but I couldn't imagine doing it all day. I would go insane.
