You don't have to have a router. The apartment building where I live have fiber, with twisted pair to each apartment. DHCP leases from the apartment gives you an external IP. It's possible to hook up a switch and get DHCP leases f

I made a pull request[1] for gumbo-parser a while ago. While it is a wonderful project, it seems to be in need of a new maintainer, or a maintained fork. [1] https://github.com/google/gumbo-parser/pull/370

using ls with globbing is redundant: the shell will expand * 1* .png to a list of files, which will then be passed to the argument vector of ls, looking up the files twice. You could just do echo * 1* .png. ls doesn't do glob matching.

Also worth noting: Google Authenticator is just TOTP[1] (X=30, Digit=6, HMAC-SHA-1 IIRC). You can just copy the URL from the QR code and use it from whatever you like, as long as your clock is somewhat synced. [1] https://tools.i

I think you may be projecting your own experience growing up on a nation as a whole. Yes, Fairlight and some other groups were Swedish. Yes, a strong middle class meant that a lot of kids had access to ABC80s, C64s, Amiga 500s, IBM PCs, Mac

FreeBSD has pdfork, which works with process descriptors instead of signals. No more signal handlers needed, and you can use process descriptors as you'd use file descriptors with calls to poll, select, kevent, &c.
