The reason politicians worry so much about using email is accountability. They use the phone so the lawyers can't prove anything. There needs to be some sort of legal exception made for email. It shouldn't carry the same weight as regular c

There are virtually no totally original ideas. Its one of the reasons for the "ideas are worthless" mantra around here. Execution is the key. You will never think of something totally unique. Just do it first, better, or cheaper.

The best reason to vote is not that your vote will change the election, its that the process of voting will change you. It causes you to consider the problems in your society and be aware of proposed solutions. Sounding your voice is just a

I find it interesting that the best model we have for how the brain operates is a Bayesian inference engine, but most people can't even apply proper Bayesian reasoning.

I don't understand the "creature of Congress" slight. China and India both have government-controlled space programs, and they use far less subcontracting than we do.

If NASA were allowed to keep the profits from its patents, it would more than pay for itself. Space exploration is a good investment, and I hope we start turning our eyes upward again.

Understandable, but I don't want to deprive you of your portrait keyboard, I just want the option to use landscape. More choice > less choice.

Its unfathomable that they haven't added the landscape keyboard for email and SMS. IMHO, every default application ought to operate in both portrait and landscape.
