1. For the list of web apps at the teams disposal, simply put a page of links on your internal wiki. Put another link next to each with the status page of each web app (e.g. http://status.aws.amazon.com/ ). 2. For accounts &

Alfred does a lot more than that. But yes, the inspiration is obvious (and Alfred itself was inspired by Quicksilver).

This isn't the first time OS X has changed the looks of title bars[1]. Typically the transition is eased a lot by a) Cocoa works it out for you and b) an active developer community that is provided with early access. So by the time the

That bothers me a bit too. Maybe because I still can't tell what bit of an IOS7 app is button and what isn't (even with the "accessibility" fix they're not all shown properly).

I saved enough cash to last me for more than a year, took some time off to chill out, think and make plans, then work found me. You know all these times someone asks you if you can do this or that for them, and you had to say no because you

I rather enjoy the much lower administrative overhead that comes with sole proprietorship (in the UK, this may differ elsewhere) compared to setting up a company and try to cling to it for as long as reasonable.

While I hate link baiting as much as the next guy, I find myself agreeing with most of the things he says about OpenGL.

Having planted some trees myself as a teenager (under the supervision of my grandfather, a forest warden), I can tell you it is very rewarding to do so[1]. It is also a lot of work. The young pines we planted (bought from a tree nursery) ne

I manage cold calls by telling the caller never to call again and making a mental note never to do business with them. Oh, that's probably not what you meant, is it?

I've used Pyglet[1] to experiment and learn OpenGL using Python, although it needed some hacking to open up the 4.3 API on OS X (which only arrived at that version with Mavericks, having been stuck in a sad state for many years). Also,

On the other hand AdBlock (edge of course, not the co-opted plus), saves quite a bit of network traffic. Nice if you're on metered (or slow) internet.
