An iPhone 4S, which I grudgingly upgraded to IOS 7 after Apple refused to fix the SSL bug on IOS 6. I absolutely hate the look and the removal of button shapes is an affront to everything I ever learnt about user interfaces (from Apple'

I've built just this for a client recently. There's one Ansible playbook that can be used to build a template for baking the AMI, and that same playbook can also be used to update a running instances on the fly, so you can update

The output looks a lot like what New Relic does, but the capture process is entirely different: This seems to sniff network traffic, while NR wraps your application code.

This headline got me thinking, what if such a car gets infected with malware? Let's see. I don't know much about self-driving cars, but I imagine they use plenty of cameras and image processing software. That might make it pretty

As a German expat who moved to the UK to start a business, I second this. Incorporating (a GmbH) in Germany would've been a major nightmare compared to the UK. Not that I'd recommend the UK as a good location at this point.

I am disappointed that this doesn't use a tracker format[1] and software instruments. And fits into 4Kb. Maybe next album! [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_tracker

For those as ignorant of the Java/Android scene as me: LibGDX is a game-development application framework written in Java with some C/C++ components for performance dependent code. It allows for the development of desktop and And

I bought some tomatoes at the supermarket. I ate some of them and decided they were really tasty. I squeezed the squishy stuff from some of them into a bowl and fermented it to get the seeds out of their growth-inhibiting sacks. I planted t

"Uber" is really quite a poor brand name for the German market. It either implies ignorance of the u-umlaut (the correct transliteration of über would be ueber, not uber), or worse, some very negative associations with Nazi ideolo

I've tried this a while ago. Did not work very well at all on an iPhone 4S, it would either tell me to re-try or come up with a plan that was completely off.

Air travel is ruled by irrational fears more than by FAA rules. I can absolutely see how a metal case that looks like a pipe bomb on x-ray is going to cause some interesting conversations at the security gates.

I'm using Jitsi for ZRTP voice/video calls, but only because there isn't a better client. It is sadly not behaving very well on OS X (and according to the other end, not on Windows either).

I've been using this for some time now and while I only need SIP occasionally, every time I start Telephone, I'm pleased with its no-bullshit design (and the fact that it just works). This exactly how much UI a SIP client needs.
