This is really cool! Rather than make the same mistake every other DNS tries, they include the ICANN domains already. I ran the client and started resolving hostnames against it immediately. Its also mined, so give it a try!

The fear is that foreign IC will charge US IC operators for their crimes in retaliation. Typically IC operators have claimed sovereign immunity, however since PLA officers were charged in 2014 all bets are off.

Doesn't matter. Google Analytics was used to steal ethereum seeds too (as the 'referer' also I believe). Its common to use analytics as exfiltration services -- the traffic is not as suspicious and usually https.
