Reduce shouldn't be considered in the same category as nullish-coalescing. Reduce is on par with array.map. It's perfect for when you have an iterable and want to reduce it down, pair by pair, to one item. It should be used when t

I suppose you're right. Even the intellectual elite becomes irrational in the face of discussions over religion. Which explains why they replace it with discussions over politics, whereby they can at least exercise their agnosticism th

I'm surprised you would call a genuine pursuit of authentic truth a fetish, and admit to enjoying an illusion. But I guess I shouldn't be. That's why people pass on the Santa Claus tradition, and those who enjoyed it when the

"Won't work" implies that I have some sort of goal of trying to convince anyone of religious truths, which I don't. I also don't think it was a tangent to say that _why appeals to a religious desire within us. It&#x

I don't use any Safari extensions. Regarding ad blockers, my solution has just been to stop using the internet so much. I almost exclusively use it for work now. So I run into almost no websites with ads. I heartily recommend going int

In JavaScript and similar languages, “yes.” It’s really a lot simpler than you’re making it. Closures are great in these languages and incredibly useful for rapid prototyping. Especially in Node.js and in browsers.

I’d agree, basically Haskell is focused on academic purity and abstract experimentation while Rust is focused on being equally practical and innovative at the same time.
