Even if you write RPM/DEB's to install all of your config files, you'll need something to trigger installation after you've updated your packages. How are you going to do that? SSH to every server? That doesn't scal

Sadly, these are multi-family homes in a single family home. It's a lot of 7-8 people (multi-generation) families under one roof. Not stereotyping, that's the demographic. It's also why you get a lot of growhouses and brothel

Why do tech people insist on living in luxury, brand-new hotels err high rise buildings in SF? Do they think that's what it is to "make it?" There are much, much nicer places to live in SF rather than SOMA or Market St. Most

But no one wants to live in the Sunset. You can build out there all you want. The weather is crummy and it takes an hour to get downtown on the bus. That's why it's mostly brothels and growhouses (exaggeration).

Right, but you can't build those everywhere. There are chunks of the city that are landfill (old ships, gravestones, etc) which are seismically unfit to hold a large building, even with pilings. As a kid, my wife grew up always wanting

That's a major over exaggeration and you know it. Name any neighborhood in the city, and I'll give you at least one place open until midnight. You probably couldn't see anything open from your hotel in Union Square or SOMA, b

Chilly market? We're less than 100 points off the all time high in SPX (which was set last year). You could say the bull run is in its last stages, but it's far from chilly.

Lease payments are about half as much as purchase payments. You're only paying for the depreciation in a lease.

I've seen a test version of the Model X driving around San Francisco. Its looks are pretty retch. I'm not going to say it will be a flop, but its sales won't be anything close to the 3 nor S. If they're smart, they'

This is a very simplistic, binary view of the world. Just because the Internet's view of a product differs from the author's, it doesn't make the Internet wrong. It means the author probably needs to step back and re-evaluate

It's not a binary thing. You can regulate out fraud, abuse, and DDoS attacks without harming the legitimate use cases. It's like selling alcohol (cigarettes, porn, gambling), but not to minors. You can say "it's OK for t

That's definitely a legitimate point, but not the main point IMHO. The main point is that Tor makes zero effort to clean up the problem and uses the legitimate Tor users as helpless, scapegoated victims and a bullying tactic. "But

I think you meant to type "money losing tech stocks" instead to find just "tech stocks." Profitable tech stocks are doing quite well. The ones you mentioned largely lose money or have drastically cut forecasts.

You're right. Sorry I meant the NS glue records. Those have a 1 day minimum TTL. If you're not already running multiple providers, switching after one is down won't help much.
