HiDPI on Linux is still bad/spotty. If you run Linux, you'll see the difference quickly. Typed on a Razer 13" with QHD display that I'm still constantly messing with (FC25 Cinnamon).

It's very common for netflow data to be mirrored and multiplexed. Syslog, too.

NFS on Linux defaulted to UDP for what seems like a really long time. There were perf issues with TCP (can't remember what they were).

I'm not sure if I follow your question. I worked in Windows NT networking escalation/debug support. We did NT4 and Windows 2000. You had to have a support contract with MS or work off some Pay Per Incident vouchers. Some people ha

I formerly worked as an escalation support engineer in Microsoft's Product Support Services (PSS) for Windows networking. I, and a lot of other people, were at our desks in Las Colinas, TX for the Y2K rollover. Nothing happened. We got

Isn't nuclear still really expensive? I read that Entergy was shutting down some nuclear plants they recently acquired because they had not-good track records and it cost more to produce energy than what they could sell it for [0]. In

Blocking UDP 123 upstream is a common tactic to avoid participating in NTP DDoS botnets. You're best off running your own NTP infrastructure that's isolated from the public Internet NTP servers if you want stable time sources. Put

10-30 minutes a day will cause skin cancer? Think again.

You're not going to get skin cancer in the 10-30 minutes of sun exposure required for daily vitamin D. Stop clinging to that as a reason to shelter indoors and replace life with vitamins and manufactured meals.
