The [1] is a little bit too much, no? First, it's just one URL, secondly, it's right there. Or is this a convention when posting on HN?

Yes, but I suspect it will be a "Wunder" if they can monetize their TODO-List app..

Yes, but you could have expected it when opening a music artist's page. The parameter in the URL is a little bit strange though.

I have found a shirt that fits me perfectly so I bought a couple more of these. As long as it's a good fit, you enjoy wearing it, people don't scratch their heads looking at you, why not wear the same thing all the time? Of course not looki

Amazing numbers. Technically I am sure the site is not that complex. But I use it for 75% of my bookings. And so do many other people..

This isn't life-changing, but very convenient and unobtrusive in a good way. Well done, vlad! :)

Thanks for the link. I often don't care if I arrive a day earlier or later, and the quick day switching is something I miss in Hipmunk. Kayak is alright, but momondo seems to do an even better job.

I wonder if the result is the same feeling that I have if I don't do any sports for too many days. I really look forward to that bike trip then, or to the gym. If that can be put into a pill, why not. But I also believe that the key to figh

A single point of failure sounds dangerous. People should just avoid using the same password for different websites. (That's what KeePass is for..) Perhaps a clever extension / browser feature could ensure that. (e.g. "Warning: You are prob

Karma matters to me. It puts the good replies on the top of the page, the bad ones move down. And that´s the main purpose I think.

I was surprised to read an article on DDG in a mainstream (albeit liberal) german newspaper "Die Zeit". It's getting press. At the same time, I've tried http://www.hotbot.com again (last time I tried it perhaps 10 years ago) and I was qui

I think in this special case, it's much faster to google and read instead of watching a relatively long video. For example searching how to save a Vim-macro yields this very useful result: http://vim.wikia.com/wiki/Macros

About Facebook: There's probably no serious competitor for people to switch to (Google+ isn't quite there yet) and the majority of Facebook's users are not "techies" that care about SOPA. But yeah, who knows, in the future..

My method to learn Linux/OSX command line. Step 1: Think "I wish I could do X." Step 2: Google/duckduckgo "How to do X in bash" Step 3: Delight that a simple solution already exists. This method is successful in 95% of all cases.
