China has planned out the invasion/reclamation of Taiwan in 2027. They held true to their Hong Kong timeline, not sure why this would be any different.

Who said anything about an LLM doing it? Credit card companies have been using AI quite well for fraud detection for years before LLMs were released to the public.

Not saying that isn't correct, but that article is from one perspective. Even if there was actually an earnest attempt by the CEO, she could still choose to view what happened this way.

Interesting, glad to hear. We have gemma4 at work, and I was considering localhosting qwen, but gemma4 is so far behind the Opus and Fable I have at home that I've decided to hold off for another model release.

I can't help but see most of this as Claire using her gift of elegant prose and crafting narratives to retell a story of a prodigy that had a great product-market fit in the beginning then was unable to maintain relevancy while becomin

I don't think they'd really be willing to risk the whole company on a small subset of prompts. It's not "keeping it safe", it's retaining proof of illegal activities.

I think that's a great effect, they are no longer lying. I don't want to see a button that contains all the terms. What else would you want?

Those are big, solvable problems that can benefit almost everybody. Your problem is just with humans themselves, which is not something I want AI to "solve". I'd like AI to stay at the frontier of humans vs nature, not humans

What's the alternative? Or is it not surprising because it's the most basic and foolproof plan?

By what metric have we not passed AGI already? I think you'd have a hard time picking any random sample of people and not having Fable "beat" them in any randomly picked tests.

Is your assertation that spaceX just valued themselves? If your lemonade stand gets underwritten by Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Citigroup, and JPMorgan Chase, and 18 other large banks then yeah, you belong on that list.

Corporations are the definition of socialism- everyone pools their efforts and they decide how to allocate the rewards (after taxes).

The power of who lives, dies, and what's allowed are made by the individual consumers (or groups of consumers), so it's the same problem we have with democracy.

"capitalism" was meant to harness the greed in men- they're self-assembling groups on mostly level playing fields, and the people vote during every purchase. The more votes they get, the more opportunities to expand. Only whe

I can't see any system where people are treated fairly (equally and able to reap benefits of their labor aka not slaves) that won't lead to inequality. People are just different, and will have different production rates.

I think it'd be easier for Starlink to start building and deploying wide area ground stations (like 5g towers or something) to serve urban areas than it would take all the other telcos to deploy satellites.
