I'm not trying to be disingenuous. I don't have an ad blocker installed, and except for when I turn tracking protection off because it broke some site's functionality I can't remember the last time I saw an ad.

Do they actually convert the output of the existing commands? Or are they reimplementing then one by one? It looks like the latter. In their examples it looks like 'ls' is built-in to their shell instead of from e.g. coreutils.

They didn't have to run the code, e.g. example.com just has to run a proxy that accepts payloads at analytics.example.com and forwards them to the third party tracking providers.
