The benefit of creating oil like this is that it is energy dense, the downside is that it is hugely inefficient at every step compared to battery storage and burning it still produces air pollution.

I just moved and ended up ordering a lot of furniture from them because they have better prices and are easier to search (for furniture) than Amazon.

I can think of three reasons that it matters: - We base regulations and taxes on absolute MpG, so overstating efficiency weakens the regulations and allows automakers to cheat on taxes. - It misleads consumers about the cost to operate the

This is really exciting, and I think this shows that the government is starting to 'get' software development after the healthcare.gov fiasco. They released the data under an open source license and have the source of the website

I am asking for it - I think online shopping is one of those those things, like driving to the store, where you will not realize how annoying it was until you no longer have to do it. I definitely would like to read reviews and compare pric

Echo seems really smart to me - the reason Amazon is in hardware is because they are terrified of 'ok google, order me lighbulbs', or 'hey siri, i need a new pair of socks' becoming the way people shop for things online.

Yeah - I know this is how it has been proposed in the US, it is absurd and corrupt to hand out credits for free.. but I think cap and trade would be great if it were implemented by setting a cap that shrinks over time, and then auctioning t

To answer your question: Proponents of net neutrality are asking the FCC for new regulation on the internet in order to prevent ISPs from prioritizing certain traffic over others. If we were to shut down the FCC, ISPs would be unrestrained

Out of curiosity, why only the legal industry? I understand a narrow focus might make sense starting out from a marketing point of view, but if you have some new technology that could benefit multiple industries, why not pitch it more broa

I think this is a bad idea - salaries paid to different fields are a good (although imperfect) way of measuring the value of those skills to society. If we subsidize education towards less valuable skills at the expense of the most valuable

My problem isn't really with the changes - there is nothing they can do if they can't source the previous panel, and I am sure they chose the best one available. My issue is with how the changes were presented - instead of 'we are sorry, w

Speech recognition on new voices transmitted over the phone is a lot harder then something like speech recognition in android or siri. Is there anything that beats google voice at transcribing voicemail? As far as I know there isn't.
