Fundraising numbers. Others dropping out would count as progress too I guess. Although polling is still in single digit but 5-6% is certainly progress from 2-3%.

Interesting. So is Japan even more wasteful when their whole society uses so much human and material resources classifying their rubbish?

China is anything but future over present. Massive infrastructures are a result of stimulating the economy for short term stats over long term economic sustainability. Same with terrible pollution and countless political and security measur

I bought the pre-16 inch MBP specifically for the keyboard. It's joyful and effortless to type on at the same time. Hands down the best laptop keyboard. (I used ThinkPads exclusively for more than a decade before coming to Macs)

That's true. But here in China Android is much much more aggressively spied and surveilled by both manufacturers and government I'm more than happy to stay with Apple.

After years of searching I’ve pretty much settled on one note-taking app: Apple Notes. Quite unexpected to me as well because I started off just to sort of “cache” random notes in it before sorting them out in OneNote. Then I found myself a

It's been the macOS default for a few yeas. Before that, we usually assign Cmd+Space for this (in Windows it was Ctrl+Space for switching language and Shift for toggling between English and Chinese). Then Siri came so the combo stopped

I bought my 2019 mbp specifically for the keyboard. It’s like a very shallow mechanical keyboard.

I've always wondered if Apple could just make a camera. Or perhaps an attachment via USB-C that has bigger lens and sensors. That'll be Game Over for the Japanese consumer camera industry.

The MacBook Pro isn’t bad or dead. Judging from people’s complaints, it’s more like Apple needs a MacBook Pro Max: bigger, heavier, faster.

Multitasking reminds me of the Windows 8 fiasco. Terrible discoverability, compounded by the fact not all apps can be multitasked by dragging from dock. Very confusing and inconsistent behavior. Personally I haven’t come across any situatio

I’m from the mainland and totally with HK’s cause. But I do think the violence is at least unnecessary if not detrimental to the movement. If tanks roll in, there’s no point using violence as they’ll be crushed. If they don’t, it seems to m

They protest not because they don't have money, but because Beijing is essentially taking their money away by eating into their legal system, which is ultimately what makes HK competitive.

I didn’t even mind the non-retina display on the Air. But ffs give me an IPS panel at least. For years I see it being called the best laptop again and again by tech journalists. I always wondered if I was in a parallel universe.
