Soaps containing triclosan... Toxicity is usually not contained to just one cell-type or organ. My point is that given the past toxicological evidence for this compound, this story should not come as a surprise to anyone.

Yes, it really is a problem. And using distilled water won't help as chloride ions are naturally in saliva ( http://books.google.com/books?id=LKy0weDEFp8C&pg=PA601&lpg=P... ).
