In 1988 in _Atlanta_ my local public school finally got ceiling fans installed, thanks to the PTA fundraising. We never had AC. We had one window unit at home in my parents bedroom. It was fine.

Sadly I would argue that most do, about most of the things, most of the time. See the Propaganda Model. Things like Iran are sadly the exception, as far as my experience goes.

People do! But you have to sit there and buzz your lips to make a trumpet make sound, but for a guitar you just have to shake the strings. And the sound coming from the amp will do this shaking, completing the feedback loop. So it's mo

Where they depend on wood for heat they are more likely to have efficient stoves that completely burn the wood. Smoke coming out of the chimney is "firing for the crows" and wasting fuel.

There's a theater in my area with the 64 channel audio setup and it's AMAZING and I can't reproduce anything close at home. Furiosa was so good there. But in the main I agree with your point.
