You are absolutely right about that[1]. but strangely, on the 7640U the CPU core count drops from 8 to 6 in comparison with the 6800U. Presumably to make room for the new AI cores? I'm not sure that trade off is right for me. [1]:

You really have to do your homework with the new AMD processor rebranding. It's super easy to think your getting the latest and greatest, only to end up with Vega 2 graphics like the 5000 series from years ago. I had to whiteboard it

I'm referring to their layout engine, tala [1]. While there are other free layout engines, tala kicks ass. There's just no separate pricing tier for people that want tala for use on the command line without the fancy proprietary G

I had been super excited by the work on d2 (and Tala), the new language for diagrams with automated layout. I'm happy to pay a reasonable price... but their prices are currently five times higher than the cost of a Visio subscription.

Read the article. This author’s specific goal is 500 words a day. There is nothing vague about that! For example, in my own journaling today, I’ve written 646 words. So clearly the goal is not “impossible to achieve”, as you’ve claimed.

Thanks! Nostr is now on my radar. And I think it’s great because it lets me address the primary issue in social media today: identity management. If it was signed by my public key, it’s me. P.s: do you know of any desktop rss readers that

Another data point towards caution when reading Gladwell: Malcom Gladwell's book: Outliers, The Stories of Success (2011) is what brought the "10,000 hours to master a skill" quip to popularity. That book drew on research by

The thing I love about Borges is that he is both a big-idea sci fi writer and a poet. and his poetry definitely shows through in his sci fi. For example, as in "The Zahir". The thought of a person obsessing about the beauty of

I'm a huge Borges fan. For other Borges fans, I'll mention the book: The Book of Form and Emptiness by Ruth Ozeki. It references countless of Borges' stories.
