How I’d like to weather this storm:
1) Everyone cryptographically signs their work for identity confirmation.
2) there exists a blockchain whose sole purpose is to allow content creators to establish copyright date on a digital piece of work.
3) a public that uses the two items above what evaluating the reputation of an artist.
- p0pcult 4y agoThis seems to make a lot of sense. The artists themselves also have an incentive to be blockchain validators/miners, thereby reducing the need for token payout, and the subsequent speculation that comes with tokenization (I think).
- codethief 4y agoHow does that prevent anyone from using ChatGPT to generate new (supposedly human-written) content?
- p0pcult 4y agoIt doesn't; however, the signature in your hypothetical doesn't correspond to a known/trusted author.
- marwis 4y agoYou don't need blockchain for cryptographic timestamp
- schaefer 4y agoI've got some reading to do[1]. Thank you for the head's up. [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trusted_timestamping https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trusted_timestamping
