It's a tough one. A lot of charge backs are fraudulent, so this would open retailers up to more fraud. The ability to do charge backs will probably disappear in future. When the system was created we didn't have the same ability t

Tenure is poorly correlated with performance. In unionised organisations it is usually negatively correlated with performance. Boards are never going to accept basing promotions or layoffs on tenure.

Economies of scale diminish quickly when overheads are low, which the tooling costs for making razors will be. It's likely that even small companies are selling enough that these costs amortise to near zero.

The problem with unions is that they tend to average out pay and conditions. For many jobs that's fine, but white collar jobs, especially tech, has enormous variability in the performance and preferrences of different employees in the

This author doesn't seem to know what a promise is. A planned production date for a pre-ordered product during a pandemic is not a promise, especially with Tesla.

Credit Bureaus exist to share your credit file with any paying credit provider who asks for it. They won't regard accessing credit files in this way as a security / privacy issue, but merely a billing issue.

For most people, the keepass db will need to be synced and they’ll also want clients on their computers and phones to access it. What’s the difference, security wise, to an all in one offering that works the same way under the hood, like 1p

No, what matters is the marginal additional emissions of a passenger choosing to ride the train. An empty train is going from A-B regardless.

I was curious about this as well. Reality TV for example is edited very differently between the US and elsewhere to suit local tastes. Do we know whether or not crowd shots were usually shown in China pre-covid?

This is silly. Companies like Tesla and SpaceX don't succeed without a willingness to consider new ideas. They clearly aren't the result of one man's ideas alone.

It seems like most of the layoffs are in trust, comms, creative, policy, wellness and those supporting these functions. If the rumours of 50% downsizing are correct these functions were way bigger than I expected.

For sure. It's also hard to know what giving up too soon even is. The family making these decisions rarely have complete information about the situation, the options, the prospects, nor time to carefully consider these options.
