I’ve heard from some restaurants that the main reason for not supporting delivery companies is the large # of chargebacks. I’d be curious to confirm.

Comcast in the US (idk ++millions of users) by default enables a 2nd WiFi network that is open to all of their subscribers. Is convenient, amusing, and annoying, depending on perspective.

I’ve traveled around the world and have seen how insane the differences are with Netflix experiences. It’s interesting though, you can almost see how they struggle with licensing issues mainly, while from a consumer’s perspective it seems l

I completely agree. I only mentioned because the article included providers that don’t include the same level of ecosystem benefits, which seems slightly unfair (from a CTO/board decision perspective). I think including a baseline colo

I think this argument/comparison warrants including the pricing of purchasing a hands on rack from a data center directly. A full 1Gbps up/down cost about $200/mo, plus ~$150/mo for the managed fiber run. A full locked r

Yep, we also used to have thousands of machines under management (across different clients), I always loved logmein, but moved to teamviewer for pricing reasons. For example, in $: 0 > 1,500 > 3,000 > 5,000 > 8,000 > 12,000 &

One thing to watch out for currently are memory leaks that retain previous state even if unmounted and/or unrelated. I’ve seen several bugs especially with useRef/memo, and animation related hooks, or hooks that combine several to

I’m a huge fan of the artist NCS. (Noise cancelling silence). I haven’t listened to a song while working in several years, but do wear a pair of the latest Sony cans. I used to listen to similar content, soundtracks, etc, but found silence

It’s actually not that straightforward. A library could bundle their dependencies as part of their own build step/publish. They would appear to have zero/less dependencies, but really they just bundled them.

I see a lot of people accessing a map/dictionary using the “for (key in)” pattern, not realizing they are inheriting any method/prototype names along with their basic dictionary they’ve defined. Using Object.create(null) is an eas

It’s not. The null version won’t have methods like hasOwnProperty etc. If it wasn’t clear, i was mentioning 2 ways of initializing, not that you should reassign immediately.
